I have been piecing and hand quilting since those long-ago days in high school.\u00a0 This was back in the day before cutting mats and rotary cutters.\u00a0 Cardboard templates were the tools I used to trace and cut my pieces for my quilts.\u00a0 And machine quilting???\u00a0 Who had heard of that, let alone long-arm quilting?\u00a0 Boy has quilting come a\u00a0long way!\u00a0 After working outside of my home for more than 25 years and raising 4 children alongside my husband, I was “forced” into retirement (i.e. I was laid off) which led me to this current venture.\u00a0 A close friend of mine who is an avid quilter, decided that she was going to do a crazy thing and buy The Calico House, in Placentia, California.\u00a0 Because I was busy working outside the home and raising 4 children, I didn\u2019t have much time to quilt, but when I got laid off, I realized that I was able to get back into the hobby that I enjoyed many years ago.\u00a0 And since 2 of my kids were married and the other 2 were in college, there was not going to be a more opportune time to take advantage of earning a living doing what I love.\u00a0 After working on a Gammill Classic on a few of my own quilts, I realized that I needed to take the next step and invest in a Gammill Optimum Statler Stitcher.\u00a0 My extensive background working on computers made this purchase the perfect choice.\u00a0 This leads me to where I am today. \u00a0I am now working out of my home after being inside the Calico House in Placentia, CA from 2010 to 2015.\u00a0 I am a very detail oriented and won\u2019t let a quilt go back to the customer unless it is one that I would be proud to share with my family and friends.\u00a0 My goal is to make sure that all of my clients are happy with their finished masterpiece.\u00a0 I look forward to doing business with all of you quilters out there!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In 2024 I also became a Gammill Educator working one on one with Gammill Statler owners to help them master Creative Studio and their Gammill Statlers.\u00a0 I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
