I will not cut or trim a quilt top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Check to be sure all seams are secure. Remove all excess thread as well as pins and other embellishments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The quilt should lay flat. Measure your quilt at the top, center and bottom. These measurements should all be the same. If not there is a possibility that your finished quilt will not be square or have fullness eased in which could cause puckering or tucks in your quilt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Please check to see that your quilt seam lines are pressed in the desired direction. I do a final press on each quilt before loading it, but will not change the direction of seams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Leave selvage on outside edges, if possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>******A helpful hint for piecing your back together is to sew your fabrics together with the selvage attached and a 1 1\/2&#8243; seam allowance.\u00a0 After your back is pieced, trim off your selvage so that your seam is down to 1\/2&#8243; and press the seam open.\u00a0 Leave the selvage on the outside edges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0If using Minky or Cuddle fabric for your backing, <strong>DO NOT TRIM OFF THE SELVAGE!!!!!!<\/strong> Trimming the selvage makes the edges curl which could result in a less than desireable outcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Backing and batting must be at least 4 to 6 inches larger than the quilt on each side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Backing seams should be pressed open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Do not baste quilt together<\/strong>.
